That didn’t take long…

….but we knew it wouldn’t….
The very same Republicans who have been screaming for weeks and longer that Obama better damn well not do anything militarily in Syria without congressional approval–it took them all of about five minutes after he said he would seek congressional approval for them to start calling him weak and not a leader, and being unwilling to act, because he asked for congressional approval rather than simply launching the bombs.

More proof, as if we needed it, that they’ve got nothing but their hypocrisy. I guess we can thank them for exposing that even more starkly. One can agree or disagree with Obama, and it’s nigh on impossible to see these Republicans as anything but petty and hypocritical, defining themselves solely as being against whatever Obama is for. They are not helping the country. (Thankfully, Jon Stewart is back Tuesday night to show us they contradictory sound bytes next to each other.)

About JP

We're two guys who met in college, in 1980. We've stayed in touch, and like to talk politics, current events, music and religion. JP is nore liberal than Sid, but not in every way. We figure that dialogue stimulates ideas, moderates perspective, and is in general friendly. These are things we need badly in these dangerous times. The blog name is taken from a song by Bruce Cockburn.
